HTML version of Tomlinson

This is under construction.  However, as there are no graphics, it should load at a reasonable speed (Book I should take about 30 seconds on a 56kbps modem).

The bits...

• Front (containing the title page, the certificate of originality, the dedication, the preface and the list of subscribers),
• Contents (containing contents of Book 1, of Book 2, and descriptions of the plates),
• Book 1 (including a certificate of originality),
• Book 2 (including a certificate of originality),
• For the plates, see the Library of Congress facsimile.

Origins

The text of this version was extracted for the Library of Congress' SGML version and Facsimile (1735).  The Library of Congress also has a version of the full text, but I also have a plain-text version, which might be more convenient (also zipped and gzipped).

I've read through it all and corrected lots of mistakes in the transcription (my favourite was a reference to "prick'd crotches") but there's probably loads of mistakes still in there.  If you spot any, feel free to

• Add class-markup for browsers with decent css support (done footnotes, dropcaps, inverted S, script, double-spaced caps in titles; need first-word),
• Confirm valid XHTML with W3C,
